This Horizons Donations and Gifts Policy applies to the collection of information gathered at our location, fundraising events, and on our website. By submitting your information to us or any of our staff, you consent to the terms and conditions of our policy.

  • When you register for any of our events.
  • When you make a donation or gift contribution in person, over the phone, by mailing in a check, or on our website.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not sell or share your personal information through any other business activities with anyone else.
We will not send you mailings on behalf of other organizations.
We will collect payment information only necessary to process a donation or event registration.
We will use your information to comply with the law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law.
We will act in good faith to protect your information against potential fraud. We may verify with third parties the information collected in the course of processing a donation, gift, or event registration. If you use a credit or debit card on the website, we may use card authorization and fraud screening services to verify that your card information and address matches the information that you supplied to us and that the card being used is valid.

Donation Refund Policy

If you have made an error using our Horizons Donations and Gifts Portal, we will honor your request for a refund if that request is made within 30 days of your original donation. To request a refund, call 217-224-5530, and your refund will be returned using your original payment method upon verification.

Changes to the Donations and Gifts Policy

We reserve the right to change this Donations and Gifts Policy from time to time. When we do, we will note the last update at the bottom of this policy.
