Good nutrition has a direct link to proper physical growth and development for kids. Children who experience chronic, unsatisfied hunger are at risk of not getting the appropriate intake of necessary vitamins and minerals to ensure reaching developmental milestones.
High tides of daily, negative news and food insecurity statistics sing sadly, but here is a motivating, joyful song about a small army of people from all walks of life that are sharing His blessings. His blessing of food, for His people who are in need.
The annual Letter Carrier’s Food Drive provided a wonderful boost and helped restock Horizons Food Pantry. We received a large pallet of food that was collected by our local letter carriers this past Saturday.
The Operation Serve Youth from St. John’s Anglican Parish collected over 3000 canned goods at the 2014 Dogwood Parade in Quincy, Illinois….
We are please to announce that Horizons Social Services has purchased the property located at 224 S. 8th Street. Our new home nees to be renovated so that we can move into this space and continue our ministry in Quincy. The Lord has blessed us and we pray that he will continue to guide and bless us as we undertake this project to give Horizons a new home.
